Nutri-Serve Food Management, the company responsible for school lunches in Avon and Woodland schools, as well as Haddon Heights High School, says it does not use ‘lean, finely textured beef’ — also known as ‘pink slime’ — according to this report.
“We don’t serve it,” Jones said. “We spoke to our beef vendors and they don’t use it as a stretcher in their beef.”
And what if one or more of her vendors did use the product?
“We definitely wouldn’t have served it,” she said.
