Barrington schools budget: A breakdown of spending

A closer look at some of the biggest items from the $13,067,805 spending plan approved last week:
— $3,580,200 sent to Haddon Heights High School as tuition for 260 regular education students ($13,770 per student).
— $2,569,774 for salaries of regular education teachers and classroom supplies.
— $1,650,400 for employee benefits, including medical, prescription and dental coverage, unemployment, Social Security, etc.
— $938,742 for salaries of special education teachers and classroom aides.
— $724,321 for facilities costs, including maintenance mechanic and custodial staff salaries.
— $468,144 for transportation / busing costs.
— $285,007 for Child Study Team, including staff salaries, secretary salary, extended school year program, supplies and more.
— $247,331 for school administration including salaries of principals, secretarial studies, supplies.
