The borough this month approved a contract with Jerome J. McHale, MAI, to appraise “the Shiv Estate, LLC, (portion of Victor’s Liquors property) and the Duckery property (former Bok Bok Chicken) as part of the White Horse Pike Redevelopment Project,” according to a council resolution.
The contract, for $7,000, will be reimbursed to the borough by the developer, according to the resolution.
Delco Development LLC, the company that purchased the liquor license from the former Road House Steakhouse and Saloon for about $35,000, hopes to spearhead a restaurant and convenience store in the vicinity, the company’s president said in an earlier interview with the Barrington Bulletin (“Liquor-license purchaser: ‘Looking forward to doing something great in Barrington’ “).
The borough, meanwhile, is working to determine whether the former Road House property can be deemed a redevelopment area (“Council to study redeveloping former Road House property“).
