The Barrington Board of Education tonight will discuss almost $4 million in tuition contracts and more than $125,000 in technology upgrades along with other financial decisions, according to the posted agenda.
There is no mention of “potential litigation” on the agenda. The term had been on the agenda during the two previous meetings that took place since the May 23 Special Action Meeting during which the board accepted the resignation of former Woodland School Principal Mort Argoe. The board does intend to discuss bullying incident reports in its executive session.
In the public portion of the meeting, set to start at 7:30 p.m., the board will focus on approving the tuition contract with the Haddon Heights Board of Education that calls for a total of $3,936,342 for the 2012-13 school year. The contract covers 260 “regular students” from Barrington attending Haddon Heights High School and another 29 “resource students.”
The agenda also calls for discussion regarding spending $104,685 for 24 interactive Smart Boards for use in classrooms and almost $22,000 more for system management tools and wireless access points from Dell.
Board members also will consider spending $3,385 for Education City computer-based interactive learning tool.
