Enrollment for the upcoming kindergarten class is at about 70 new pupils, Superintendent Anthony Arcodia told the school board at the most recent meeting.
There are more than 80 pupils in the classes now entering first and second grade, while the third-grade class might need to add another teacher and room to accommodate its size.
During the meeting, Business Administrator Sam Dutkin also informed the board of efforts to refinance $5.8 million in outstanding bonds in hopes of saving about $220,000 over next two decades.
The extensive process may result in a plan being introduced in September and potentially adopted in October.
