The Barrington Board of Education has scheduled another special action meeting — its third since mid-May — for Aug. 9 at Avon School.
The board intends to discuss “matters of personnel and curriculum” at the 6:30 p.m. meeting and notes “formal action may occur at this meeting.”
At the board’s May 23 special action meeting, members voted to accept the resignation of Woodland Principal Mort Argoe. At the June 27 special action meeting, members were to discuss personnel and potential litigation, but no action was taken.
Prior to May 23, the board had not ever scheduled a “special action meeting” dating back through January 2008, according to the record of meeting agendas on the district website.
Check back closer to the meeting date for a report on the agenda, when it is released.
As noted previously on the Bulletin, the author of this blog, Mark Correa, is running for a position on the school board this fall. As always, I invite any of the other candidates to contact me if they would like to discuss any issues on this blog or use it to state their positions.
