Wawa, eatery lined up for White Horse Pike tract

Plans to bring a convenience store and sit-down restaurant to the location previously home to the Barrington Motel and Bok Bok Fresh took a significant step forward during the recent Barrington Borough Council meeting.

Council signed an agreement with Barrington Restaurant LLC at the Aug. 8 meeting. Barrington Restaurant LLC is a subsidiary of  Delco Development LLC, which purchased the liquor license that had been held by The Roadhouse Saloon and Steakhouse until it closed.

Barrington Restaurant LLC already has a signed lease agreement with Wawa, borough Clerk Terry Shannon said, and the agreement also calls for a 10,000-square-foot restaurant at the site, which would use the liquor license. No further details are available with regard to the restaurant.

Barrington Bulletin has reached out to Delco Development and to Councilman Kirk Popiolek, director of Community Development for the borough, for additional comments. Their responses will be posted as soon as possible.
