State health benefits — such as those paid by the Barrington School District for its employees — are forecast to rise by 16 percent in January, district Business Administrator Sam Dutkin said this week.
The district had budgeted for an increase, Dutkin said during the monthly school board meeting, but the 16 percent rise outpaced money that district set aside in expectation of a 10 percent increase.
Furthermore, Dutkin noted, preliminary predictions are calling for an increase of 23 percent in health benefits coming in 2014.
Dutkin said other options are being explored to help reduce the significant increases.

WOW….going to be interesting to see how this gets handled with the new property tax hike limit that is now in place. When will the next retro active tuition hike payment to Haddon Heights HS come due? We get that every 4 years I believe – hope it’s not next year also.
