Camden County officials have approved more than $1 million for municipal improvement projects throughout the county — including a $29,000 grant for Barrington.
“During these times of tighter municipal budgets, the (Community Development Block Grant) program is an important tool for local governments looking to tackle serious challenges facing their communities,” Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr., liaison to the Camden County Office of Community Development, said in the release. “The grants provide a way for municipalities to fund projects that improve community facilities and enhance municipal services.”
The $29,000 for the borough will be used for “removal of barriers” — curb cuts at 4th & Austin, 4th & Albany and 4th and Haines.
