It took regulation time, two overtimes and a shootout to decide the winner, but the Haddon Heights High School boys soccer team (18-3-3) finally bested South River (19-3-3) Wednesday night at St. Augustine.

Haddon Heights goalkeeper Jon Weaver scored the final shootout goal to give his team the 5-4 shootout victory after stopping the third penalty kick attempt by South River, according to a Philly.com report.
The teams were knotted at 2-2 after regulation and extra time.
Haddon Heights will now move on to face Harrison in the state championship game at 10 a.m. Saturday at the College of New Jersey.
Girls fall short
The Haddon Heights girls soccer team, meanwhile, fell short in their comeback attempt Wednesday and was ousted from the state tournament, according to Philly.com.
After falling behind 2-0 in the first half, the team mounted a strong comeback effort but could not overtake Shore Regional.
