The most complete and most convenient source for news and information about the borough of Barrington, N.J.
In the past, the Bulletin has offered information on property assessments and property taxes in Barrington. Now how about a look at what’s available right now.
According to Realtor.com, there are now 53 properties for sale in the borough (up from 44 in October and 46 in August).
The property that was listed as the least expensive in Barrington — a $70,000 four-bedroom, two-bath property on Mercer Drive — sold for $249,000 in August, the site reports.
The new “least expensive property” is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom home at 718 E. Clements Bridge Road, up for sale at $49,900. Three other properties also are listed at $100,000 or less.
The most expensive property for sale in the borough will set you back $575,000 to live at 425 Peltoma Road for four-bedrooms and three bathrooms, among other amenities.
The market breaks down to 12 homes for $130,000 or less; seven homes for $130,001 to $150,000; 12 homes for $150,001 to $180,000; 11 homes for $180,001 to $210,000; and 12 homes for more than $210,000.
In October, the breakdown was eight homes for $130,000 or less; 10 homes for $130,001 to $150,000; 11 homes for $150,001 to $180,000; eight homes for $180,001 to $210,000; and seven homes for more than $210,000.
So go a head and take a look — maybe you can help a neighbor sell his or her home.
I was looking at your most recent post. The house at 1216 Mercer sold in August of 2005. Not recent. And the one noted as lowest list price is not in Barrington but Runnemede. There is also a house listed on Warwick Road in Barrington for over $1 Million. Not sure where you gather the statistics. Realtor.com is up to date with stats.

Kathy: This item comes entirely from the link to Realtor.com listed above (http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/Barrington_NJ). I would not be at all surprised if a professional in the business had some more detailed info.
Thanks for sharing.
The market statisics from October (nearly 8 months old) are irrelevant and not a true representation of the real estate market conditions in Barrington today.
The October numbers are just for comparison. The current information (as it appears on Realtor.com) is directly above it.
