When one day of fireworks isn’t enough …

Barrington has a history of excellent fireworks displays. But for those who need even more, neighboring communities and the county itself are ready to deliver.

July 4Here’s a quick rundown of Independence Day-related events through the end of the week. In addition to parades and festivals (many within walking distance), you also could manage to see fireworks Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday without too much driving. Enjoy!



  • 7 p.m. Wednesday: Festivities followed by fireworks at Haddonfield Memorial High School stadium
  • 9:30 a.m. Thursday: Reading of Declaration of Independence at Indian King Tavern
  • 10 a.m. Thursday: Parade


  • 9 a.m. Thursday: Parade (rain date July 6)


  • 10 a.m. Thursday: Parade and fair at Albertson Park


  • 1 p.m. Thursday: Parade


  • 8:30 a.m. Thursday: Parade through town
  • 11 a.m. Thursday: Games at Audubon High School
  • 2 p.m. Thursday: Audubon Fire Department open house
  • 7:30 p.m. Thursday: Entertainment followed by fireworks at Audubon High School


  • 9:15 p.m. Thursday: Fireworks at Collingswood Senior High School


  • 7 p.m. Wednesday: Entertainment followed by fireworks at Haddon Township High School


  • 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday: BBQ on the Battleship New Jersey
  • 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday: Freedom Festival activities at Wiggins Park (between Battleship New Jersey and Adventure Aquarium) including military vehicles on display, pictures with Uncle Sam, inflatable activities and more
  • 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday: Freedom Festival activities at Wiggins Park (between Battleship New Jersey and Adventure Aquarium) including military vehicles on display, BBQ, music, magic and more
  • 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday: Beat Tells (Beatles tribute band) perform at River Stage.
  • 9 p.m. Saturday: Adventure Aquarium Waterfront Fireworks Spectacular over the Delaware River


  • 8 p.m. Tuesday: Concert and fireworks at Penn’s Landing
  • 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday: Welcome America parade around Independence Hall area
  • Noon to 7 p.m. Thursday: Welcome America Party on the Parkway. All-day entertainment.
  • 7 p.m. Thursday: Welcome America Fourth of July Jam and Fireworks over the Art Museum.
