Police: 2 sex assaults reported in Barrington in June

Among the 471 calls the Barrington Police Department answered during June were two sexual assaults and two residential burglaries, according to the monthly report delivered to the borough council.

Police-car-lightsOverall, police arrested 16 adults and issued 74 traffic summonses. In comparison, the department made 27 arrests and issued 81 traffic summonses last June.

Among the calls answered and arrests made last month were:

  • 2 sexual assaults
  • 2 residential burglaries
  • 4 thefts
  • 2 motor vehicle thefts
  • 2 defiant trespass
  • 1 assault
  • 1 possession of drug paraphernalia
  • 1 credit card fraud
  • 1 missing person
  • 1 violation of a restraining order
  • 1 underage possession of alcohol
  • 1 disorderly conduct
  • 1 sudden death

NOTE: Barrington Bulletin has reached out to the borough to request more information about the sexual assaults – specifically whether any arrests have been made.
