Residents are being asked to sign up with Camden County’s emergency communications network in order to receive alerts via the CodeRED high-speed notification system.
The system allows officials to quickly notify specific communities or the entire region about emergency situations, according to a county news release.
“We are in the age of technology where nearly everyone can be reached instantaneously through cell phones,” Freeholder Scot McCray, liaison to the Camden County Office of Emergency Management, said in the release. “This is a great tool for us to provide important information to you and your family during critical events.”
