Barrington’s Jamie Rahn, 25, will challenge his impressive physical skills against the “American Ninja Warrior” finals course Stage 2 when the show is broadcast at 9 tonight on NBC or next Monday. Rahn said he’s not certain which day his next attempt will air.
In the pre-recorded program broadcast last week, Rahn retired his “Captain NBC” moniker — but kept his yellow-green dyed hair — while roaring past the Stage 1 of the national finals in the grueling obstacle course competition.
Rahn, who grew up in Cherry Hill before moving to Barrington, recently was featured in a piece in the Philadelphia Inquirer:
“Even without his signature superhero regalia and Gatorade-hued hairdo, Jamie Rahn is a colorful guy.
“A Barrington resident, 25, he’s launching a career out of his success as a costumed contestant on ‘American Ninja Warrior,’ NBC’s extreme-sports extravaganza. …
“But other challenges face the affable athlete, artist, children’s entertainer, and physical-therapy aide. With his business partner (and fellow ‘ANW’ alum) Phillip Pirollo, Rahn is building a gym that will focus on the energetic French movement discipline called parkour.”

According to Rahn’s Facebook page, the Pinnacle Parkour Academy in Cherry Hill will have its grand opening from 2 to 6 p.m. Oct. 13.
