Barrington trick-or-treating, other Halloween events set

Barrington’s Halloween trick-or-treating will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Halloween night, borough Clerk Terry Shannon confirmed this week.

trickortreatLast year, trick-or-treating was delayed first by Hurricane Sandy and then by a statewide proclamation from Gov. Chris Christie. It eventually took place on Nov. 5.

This year, it is planned for Halloween night — a Thursday.

An 8 p.m. curfew will be in effect in the borough for minors from Oct. 26 to 31, she said.

Other Halloween events, according to the APT/WPTG parent-teacher groups:

— 5th and 6th grade hayride, coordinated by APT/WPTG, will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 24  at Springdale Farms (more details to come).

— Avon School Halloween skate party, coordinated by APT/WPTG, will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at Cherry Hill Skating Rink (more details to come).
