This weekly report will highlight upcoming events and activities in the borough.

For the week of Nov. 4:

Monday: Borough council caucus meeting, 6:30 p.m. at the mayor’s office in borough hall. Public is invited to this session in which many of the details of next week’s council meeting are hashed out.

Monday: No. 6-seeded Haddon Heights girls soccer opens the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 playoffs with a game against No. 11 Buena.

In the school board election, borough residents Mindy Berwick and Holly McCauley will join board Vice President Carla Bolling and board member Robert J. Klopp in the race for the three positions.  McCauley is president of the Avon Parent Teacher Group; Berwick is secretary of the Woodland Parent Teacher Group. In the borough council election, incumbents Maureen Bergeron and Wayne Robenolt are running unopposed.

Tuesday: Schools closed, in-service day.

— Tuesday: Field hockey – No. 2 seed Haddon Heights plays a home game against the No. 7 Haddonfield in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 1 tournament.

— Tuesday: No. 8-seeded Haddon Heights boys soccer opens the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 playoffs with a game against No. 9 Deptford.

Wednesday: Silver Diner Fundraiser Night for APT/WPTG. Silver Diner donates a portion of each check paid between 5 and 8 p.m.

Thursday: School closed for N.J. Education Association convention

Thursday: If Haddon Heights girls soccer tops Buena on Monday, they’ll face No. 3 Woodstown today.

Friday: If Haddon Heights boys soccer tops Deptford on Monday, they’ll face No. 1-seeded Haddonfield today.

Friday: School closed for NJEA convention

Friday: Field hockey – if No. 2-seeded Haddon Heights survives against the winner of No. 7 Haddonfield vs. No. 10 Woodbury on Tuesday, the team will face No. 3 Audubon, No. 6 Maple Shade or No. 11 Palmyra today.

Saturday: Haddon Heights High School football at Audubon.

Sunday: Camden County Board of Freeholders salute veterans’ contributions in honor of Veterans Day at a ceremony at 1pm at Veterans Island at Cooper River Park, North Park Drive in Pennsauken.
