Barrington police log: Burglaries, breaking and entering, handgun possession and more

Monthly report on police activity in Barrington as provided by the police department:

— 12/05/2013: A 59-year-old male was charged with obstructing the administration of law and hindering his own arrest after supplying police with false information at a mobile inspection stop.

— 12/09/2013: A 31-year-old male was arrested for obstructing the administration of law after failing to turn over cell phones belonging to another person that he had in his possession.

Police— 12/11/2013: A call for service regarding a theft was received in the 100 block of Trenton Avenue for a stolen cell phone.

— 12/14/2013: A call for service regarding fraud was received on the 400 block of Princeton Avenue for a resident falling victim to an internet scam based on signing up to be a “Smart Shopper”.

— 12/17/2013: A motor vehicle stop in the 100 block of Clements Bridge Road resulted in the arrest of a 33-year-old male for outstanding warrants.

— 12/19/2013: A pedestrian stop of three males in the unit block of East Gloucester Pike resulted in the arrest of one 28-year-old male for an outstanding warrant.  The three males had been originally reported as suspiciously looking into cars in the area.

— 12/19/2013: A call for service regarding a suspicious male going door to door in the 500 block of Fifth Avenue resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old male going door-to-door selling services without a permit from the borough.

— 12/19/2013: A call for service regarding stolen mail on the 500 block of Austin Avenue was received.

— 12/21/2013: A call for service regarding a male with a gun in the 200 block of Princeton Road resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old male who pointed a realistic looking black pellet handgun at another male. The male was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, unlawful possession of an imitation firearm and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

— 12/21/2013: A call for service regarding burglary and a stolen motor vehicle in the 500 block of Clements Bridge Road resulted in the charging and arrest of a 30-year-old male responsible for the theft.

— 12/23/2013: A call for service regarding a burglary was received in the 200 block of Highland Avenue entry was made into the home by breaking a rear door window. Nothing was taken from the residence.

— 12/24/2013: A call for service regarding criminal mischief was received on the 200 block of Albertson Avenue. Christmas decorations had their wires cut.

— 12/27/2013: A call for service regarding two suspicious males in the 200 block of  the White Horse Pike resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old male for an outstanding warrant, possessing drug paraphernalia and a hypodermic needle.

— 12/28/2013: A traffic stop in the 200 block of White Horse Pike resulted in the arrest of the driver for an outstanding warrant. Summonses were issued for motor vehicle violations.

— 12/28/2013: A call for service regarding an unruly male resulted in the arrest of a 50-year-old male in the 900 block of Clements Bridge Road for disorderly conduct.

— 12/28/2013: A call for service regarding a burglary was received in the 400 block of Tavistock Boulevard. Unknown person(s) entered a vacant house and cut out a large amount of the copper pipes from the home.
