Barrington police log: Several burglaries, attempting to sell meat from a truck

Monthly report on police activity in Barrington in May as provided by the police department:

– 5/1/2014: Reckless driving was reported in the 1200 block of Oakwood Road.

– 5/2/2014: Theft of mail from the front step of a residence in the 900 block of Lenton Avenue was reported.

– 5/3/2014: A vehicle fire occurred on the 100 block of E. Gloucester Pike.

– 5/3/2014: A motor vehicle stop in the 300 block of White Horse Pike for failure to stop or yield resulted in the arrest of the 41-year-old male driver and the 32-year-old male passenger for outstanding warrants for their arrest. Driver also was issued several summonses including driving while suspended.

– 5/5/2014: Theft\fraud was reported in the 500 block of Austin Avenue.

– 5/7/2014: A 54-year-old female was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substances attempting to enter the Barrington Municipal Court Building. While officers were conducting the usual security screening prior to entering the court, CDS was located in her purse.

Police-car-lights– 5/8/2014: A report of a male soliciting without a permit was received on the 400 block of Austin Avenue. The 22-year-old male was attempting to sell meat from a truck and was found to not have the proper permit to do so.  He was issued a summons for the improper solicitation without a permit and was issued a motor vehicle summons for illegally parking in a handicap parking space.

– 5/9/2014: A pedestrian stop of a 34-year-old male on the 1200 block of Clements Bridge Road resulted in the male being arrested on four outstanding warrants for his arrest.

– 5/9/2014: A report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of 5th Avenue and I-295 resulted in the arrest of the 19-year-old male driver for possession of controlled dangerous substances.

– 5/10/2014: A motor vehicle stop in the 300 block of White Horse Pike resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old male passenger in the vehicle for outstanding warrants for his arrest. The driver of the vehicle was issued several summonses among them driving while suspended.

– 5/10/2014: A report of threats was taken in the unit block of Barr Drive.

– 5/11/2014: A pedestrian stop in the 600 block of Clements Bridge Road resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old male for outstanding warrants for his arrest.

– 5/11/2014: A report of threats was taken in the 500 block of Clements Bridge Road.

– 5/12/2014: A pedestrian stop in the 100 block of Clements Bridge Road of a 20-year-old male and a 22-year-old female resulted in both being charged with soliciting without a permit.

– 5/14/2014: A burglary was reported in the 1200 block of  Clements Bridge Road.

– 5/15/2014: A pedestrian stop on the unit block of Barrington Avenue. resulted in a 46-year-old male being arrested for an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

– 5/16/2014: A report of found controlled dangerous substances was taken on Commerce Drive and the CDS was secured for destruction.

– 5/16/2014: A report of burglary was taken in the unit block of Barr Drive.

– 5/17/2014: A report of criminal mischief was taken in the area of 1303 Hancock Drive.

– 5/17/2014: A report of theft was received in the 100 block of Shreve Avenue.

– 5/18/2014: A report of a burglary was taken in the 1000 block of Oakwood Road. Electronics were taken.

– 5/18/2014: A fire was reported and confirmed on the 1300 block of Hancock Drive.

– 5/19/2014: A report of harassment was taken in the 1200 block of Clements Bridge Road.

– 5/21/2014: A pedestrian stop in the 1300 block of Hancock Drive resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old male for obstructing the administration of law.

– 5/23/2014: A house fire was reported and confirmed on Cedar Avenue.

– 5/24/2014: A report of a theft was taken in the unit block of Avon Road.

– 5/25/2014: A dumpster fire was reported and confirmed in the 300 block of  Princeton Road.

– 5/26/2014: A report of a burglary in the 1300 block of Hancock Drive.

– 5/27/2014: A motor vehicle stop in the 500 block of Clements Bridge Road for use of a cell phone while driving resulted in the 39-year-old male driver being arrested for outstanding warrants for his arrest.

– 5/28/2014: A motor vehicle stop in the 300 block of White Horse Pike for the driver failing to wear his seat belt resulted in the 33-year-old male driver being arrested for outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was also found to be a suspended driver.

      Information on this site matches what is provided by the Barrington Police Department. They have not made it a practice to release additional identifying information.
